Six Dog Breeds and Their Perfect Coffee Match

Yesterday was NATIONAL DOG DAY! Naturally, we had to make this week’s blog post about dogs… and what WE think each breed would order if they could suddenly talk.

Let’s start with Golden Retrievers, perhaps the most universally loved dog breed. A Golden Retriever is reliable and comforting. They’re not concerned with drama, unless they’re starting it, of course! They are hard to not like, so we imagine they would approach the barista with a big smile on their face and order a simple drip coffee with cream and sugar. Who doesn’t love a good coffee with a little sweet and savory added to it?

Now comes the high-maintenance French Bulldog. This dog is ordering an oat milk latte with extra foam. They request latte art specifically so they can Instagram a photo of it. They are willing to wait because they are a social media influencer, and patience is just part of the game.

Next is the infamous Chihuahua, known for their small bodies but ENORMOUS energy! These dogs will keep you up at night, and they will have no qualms about it. That’s why I think your Chihuahua would probably come in looking for a straight TRIPLE ESPRESSO - NO WATER! And get it to ’em ASAP, or they will probably complain to the manager…

In walks a Pug, and they are probably looking for something extra sweet. Because let’s be honest, they are both extra and sweet. The Pug orders a vanilla latte with whipped cream and snorts through the 5 seconds it takes them to consume it.

Now the barista better make sure they are on their A-game, because a Poodle just walked in, and it WILL judge your coffee like they’re a world-class Q Grader. This dog is ordering an oat milk cortado and drinking it with their pinky out, thinking they are better than everyone else.

And lastly, the enthusiastic Labrador. These dogs are low-maintenance. They will take whatever order is given to them - they are honestly just happy to be there.
