Father’s Day is right around the corner, and we want to make sure you’re prepared to celebrate the father figure(s) in your life. If you’re having trouble coming up with what to get Dad this year, we’ve put together a pretty solid list of suggestions for you! 

1. What has a spine but no bones? A Book!

Whether it’s historical fiction or a self-help book on how to multiply your money, most dads love a good book. It gives them something to do when they wake up 4 hours before everyone else on the family vacation. Here are a few books we recommend for the bookworm dad in your life:

2. What’s a barista’s favorite exercise at the gym? The French Press.

The French Press is a great tool for brewing coffee at home, at the office, or on vacation! All Dad needs is freshly roasted, coarsely ground coffee (the grounds should look like flakey sea salt), a French Press, and hot water. 3. What’s a barista’s favorite morning mantra? Rise and grind!

If there’s one thing we know about dads, it’s that they very rarely do anything halfway. They’re always on a mission to upgrade their hobbies or one-up their other dad friends. That’s why the coffee-loving dad in your life needs a Baratza Encore grinder. This burr grinder allows Dad precision when perfecting his grind type, allowing him to have freshly ground coffee no matter his brewing method.

 

4. How do cups greet each other? With mugs and kisses.

“Basic” doesn’t always have to be a bad thing. I mean, Dads are like the #1 buyers of New Balances and what’s more basic than that? I digress… Mugs are considered a basic gift for a reason: everybody loves them! At Alma, we have a plethora of mug options to choose from. At the time of writing this blog, our limited release Bourbon Barrel-Aged Coffee is still in-stock so if Dad is a big whiskey fan, we strongly recommend gifting him a bag of this roast. It’s carefully crafted using whiskey barrels from our friends at Reformation Brewery, then roasted to perfection by our fabulous team of roasters. Our first batch of Barrel-Aged Coffee sold out in less than 48 hours, so this time we secured a few extra barrels. We’re still already almost sold out of this rendition, but we’re hoping if you’re reading this, we’ll have enough in stock for you to be able to purchase a bag in time for Father’s Day.
