Share
There’s nothing quite like the comfort of a handcrafted cup of coffee. While our syrups in our café are always a treat, making your own coffee syrups at home is easier than you think. The flavor payoff is incredible and the best part is that you can pair these homemade syrups with Alma Coffee’s specialty roasts for a cup that is truly unforgettable.
Below, we’re sharing three syrup recipes you can whip up in your kitchen along with the Alma roast that complements each one perfectly.
1. Vanilla Bean Syrup + Enchanted Roast ✨
Why it works: Smooth, rich, and timeless, vanilla bean syrup highlights the chocolatey sweetness and balanced flavor profile of our Enchanted Roast. Together, they create a velvety cup that feels like pure comfort.
How to make it:
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 vanilla bean (slice open, scrape the inside, and add to the pot along with the whole bean)
Simmer everything together for 10 minutes, then pour into a jar. Let cool before storing in the fridge.
Perfect for: A cozy latte or drizzling into your daily brew when you want something classic but elevated.
2. Pumpkin Spice Syrup + Soulmate Roast 🍂
Why it works: Pumpkin spice season is a year-round mood, especially when paired with our Soulmate Roast. The warm spices and hint of pumpkin bring out this roast’s sweet, full-bodied depth. It tastes like autumn in a mug.
How to make it:
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup pumpkin purée
- 1 Tbsp vanilla bean paste
- 2 Tbsp pumpkin pie spice
- Dash of cinnamon
- 1 cup water
Combine all ingredients, stir, and simmer on low to medium heat for 5 minutes. Let it cool, pour into a jar, and store.
Perfect for: a homemade PSL (Pumpkin Spice Latte)
3. Teddy Graham Syrup + Passion Roast 🐻
Why it works: Inspired by the nostalgic snack, this syrup blends honey, cinnamon, and brown sugar into a graham cracker–like sweetness. Paired with our Passion Roast, it brings out the natural nuttiness and caramel tones in every sip.
How to make it:
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup honey
- 1 Tbsp cinnamon
- 2 cups water
- 1 Tbsp vanilla bean paste
Simmer everything until combined, let cool, and store in a jar.
Perfect for: A dessert-inspired latte that tastes like childhood comfort with a grown-up twist.
