6 Ways to Get Ready for Fall
Share
It is a well known fact that Fall is one of the best seasons of the year, but the transition from Summer can be a tough one. Conjuring up that Fall festive spirit can take some time. We have a few tips that can help you Fall into the cozy comfort of the 'ber months:
1. Curl up with a Good Book
There is no denying that the best thing to do on a rainy day is curl up on the couch with your favorite book. Pair that with a hot cup of Otoño, and you’ve got yourself the perfect Fall afternoon. Need a book suggestion? Join our monthly book club: https://bookclubs.com/clubs/6006939/join/1ae257/
2. Make a Fall Vision Board
It may sound cliche, but making a vision board is a great way to set your intentions for the upcoming season. With holidays likes Thanksgiving and Christmas quickly approaching, it is important to get yourself in the right frame of mind. A Fall mood board could include outfits, books you want to read, bonfires, etc. Whatever you deem as something that you want to do this Fall can go on your mood board!
3. Get a Pumpkin Spice Latte
Is there anything more Fall than a Pumpkin Spice Latte? The correct answer is no. A pumpkin spice latte is the perfect companion for those chilly Fall days. Not to mention, we have an amazing pumpkin spice latte in the café right now. I may be just a tad biased, but our PSL is to-die-for! Don’t believe me, come try it for yourself!!
4. Decorate for Halloween
I know, I know, it’s only September but nothing will put you in the Fall spirit quite like putting up those spooky decorations. We recently decorated the café for Halloween and suddenly I’m making myself a Pumpkin Spice Latte every morning. Side note: if you haven’t gotten the chance to stop by and see our decorations, you’re going to want to make your way over here. Not to brag, but we kind of popped off with our Halloween decor. If you’re not into the Halloween decorations, not to worry. Personally, I prefer to decorate for the Fall season instead of Halloween. I’m a big fan of the cute little pumpkins, sparkly leaves, and the throw pillows that say “It’s Fall Y’all.” Whatever your cup of tea (or coffee), a little decorating can put you in that Fall spirit.
5. Make some Pumpkin Bread
A hot topic of debate right now is whether pumpkin bread is better than banana bread. I say both are equally delicious, but leave the banana bread in Summer and give me all the pumpkin bread for Fall. A nice warmed slice of pumpkin bread paired with a hot cup of our Otoño roast? Sign me up!
6. Watch a Fall Classic
Fall nights call for a fleece blanket, a cup of coffee, a bowl of freshly popped, buttery popcorn, and a comfort movie. Not sure what to watch? We got you!
Here’s a list of our favorite Fall movies:
- Practical Magic
- Harry Potter
- Hocus Pocus
- You’ve Got Mail
- The Lakehouse
- Little Women (the 2019 version, sorry if you disagree, but it is superior)
- Nightmare Before Christmas
- Pride and Prejudice
- It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown
- Twilight
- Dead Poet’s Society
